The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, visited the Federal Supreme Court building today, Wednesday.

During the visit, Al-Mashhadani met with Judge Jassim Al-Umayri, President of the Federal Supreme Court, and discussed the legislative process within legal and constitutional frameworks.

Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani affirmed that everyone views the Iraqi judiciary as a safety valve and a shield for all Iraqis, and everyone is committed to its decisions.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives explained that Iraq is witnessing a true and realistic embodiment of democratic principles, where representatives of the people sometimes resort to the Federal Supreme Court to exercise their right to object to certain laws and decisions in a democratic manner and within legal frameworks. He pointed out that everyone is bound by the judicial decisions and what is issued by the Federal Supreme Court.
