Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a dialogue session with the Strategics Center on Saturday, attended by a group of researchers, diplomats, and experts from various countries.
At the beginning of the session, Al-Sudani welcomed the attendees, whose visit to Baghdad coincides with the organization of numerous events and activities, including the meetings of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, the opening of the Baghdad International Fair, and the announcement of Baghdad as the Arab Tourism Capital 2025 and the Arab Sports Culture Capital. These events highlight the vibrancy of Baghdad and the government's plans for openness and the extent of stability throughout the country. He emphasized that most Arab and foreign delegations arrive with one impression and leave with a completely different one due to the distorted images some media outlets portray about Iraq.
Al-Sudani added that his government was formed under circumstances where some people refrained from participating in elections and trust in the political system had declined. He noted that the government program was designed to be implementable to enhance citizens' trust in the government, and significant progress has been made in its implementation and achieving its objectives.
The dialogue session discussed several key topics, including sustaining stability in Iraq, achieving sustainable development, addressing poverty and unemployment, economic issues, as well as Iraq's regional and international relations, and the achievements and goals in these areas.
