U.S. Officials Announce Full Control of Los Angeles Fire.

U.S. fire officials have revealed that the Los Angeles fire has been 100% contained after more than three weeks of forest fires.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection stated that the larger Palisades fire, which burned 23,448 acres on the western side of Los Angeles, has also been 100% contained.

The California Fire Department noted that the two main fires, along with several smaller ones, created the worst natural disaster in the history of Los Angeles County, resulting in the deaths of 28 people and damaging or destroying over 16,000 buildings.

Los Angeles County officials mentioned that at some point during the fire, orders were issued to evacuate 180,000 people.

Long-awaited rains arrived in Southern California a few days ago, helping firefighters contain the fires but also increasing the risk of floods and mudslides in the hills.
