Iraqi National Security Service Announces Details of a Major Operation Leading to the Arrest of Five Dangerous Criminals.

The official spokesperson for the Iraqi National Security Service announced today the details of a major security operation that resulted in the arrest of five of the most dangerous criminals affiliated with the former regime. These individuals were involved in crimes of murder and torture against thousands of Iraqis, including the martyr Sayyid Mohammed Mohammed Sadiq Al-Sadr and his sister, as well as carrying out mass executions of political opponents.

The spokesperson confirmed that the operation was conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Law on the Prohibition of the Dissolved Baath Party, in coordination with the relevant security and judicial authorities. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to hold perpetrators of crimes against the Iraqi people accountable.

Details of the Accused and the Crimes Committed:

- Saadoun Sabri Jamil Al-Qaisi (Brigadier):

The accused explicitly confessed to executing the martyr Mohammed Mohammed Sadiq Al-Sadr and his sister using his personal weapon. He was also involved in carrying out mass executions of opponents accused of belonging to the Islamic Dawa Party. He admitted to executing 8 citizens and burying them in mass graves in Fallujah and Jisr Diyala, as well as executing two young members of the Al-Hakim family and killing an opponent from the marshes of Nasiriyah.

- Haitham Abdul Aziz Faiq (Colonel):

  Among his most notable crimes was overseeing the execution of the martyr Mohammed Baqir Al-Sadr and his sister, in addition to executing a group of members of the Islamic Dawa Party.

- Khairallah Hammadi (Brigadier):

Led campaigns of arrest and torture against the people of Balad district under the pretext of political affiliation and participated in the executions and burial of victims. He also oversaw the suppression of Fayli Kurds in Baghdad and issued decisions for the forced displacement of opponents' families to "Nukrat Al-Salman." He was also involved in crimes of hand amputation in Kirkuk and carrying out arrests and executions of opponents in Baghdad.

- Shaker Taha Yahya (Brigadier):

  Participated in the executions of Kurdish detainees in 1984 in Baghdad and prevented mourning ceremonies following the assassination of the martyr Mohammed Mohammed Sadiq Al-Sadr. He was also involved in the killing of the opposition citizen Suleiman Berenji.

- Naama Mohammed Suhail Saleh (Brigadier):

  Led campaigns of arrest and torture targeting more than 40 university students from the University of Sulaymaniyah and other universities, and continuously pursued members of Islamic parties.
