Civil Defense teams are recovering the remains to sort, document, and number them for preservation, to be identified later. A Civil Defense official confirmed that the organization will strive to "identify the bodies found in the village.

According to media reports, some of the human bones among the discovered remains belong to young children and women. Local residents assert that they belong to families who disappeared at the previous regime's security checkpoints near the area.
