The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed the details of a discussion on TikTok among several individuals, where one person claimed to be a doctor and admitted to ending the lives of several heart attack patients during catheterization procedures.
He also forced the patients or their families to sign declarations accepting the risks of these procedures to avoid legal accountability.
The ministry's statement mentioned that the individual was identified and arrested, and it was found that he was a veterinarian impersonating a heart surgeon. Legal actions were taken against him for his false claims, and the public prosecution is investigating.
In a similar incident two days ago, health officials in Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt, arrested a commerce student who impersonated a dermatologist in an unlicensed clinic in the city of Girga.
The clinic was ordered to be closed, necessary reports were filed, and the public prosecution is conducting investigations.
