Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met today, Monday, with the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Kamil Al-Maliki.

During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country and the progress the government has made in implementing its program objectives, particularly in securing citizens' needs, developing services, and achieving comprehensive economic development for the country.

They also addressed the major challenges facing Iraq and the need for all parties to work together to confront them, given the current events in the region, especially in Syria. They reaffirmed Iraq's steadfast position in supporting the unity of Syrian territory and respecting the choices of its people.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of continuing international and regional efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza and establish stability in Lebanon, highlighting Iraq's efforts to prevent the spread of conflict in the region.
