▪ Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed that Al-Shaab Hospital is the first public hospital to be built in Baghdad in nearly four decades.

▪ He directed the Turkish company that will operate the hospital to ensure that this building is paired with the best medical and healthcare services for citizens.

▪ He emphasized that the success criterion will depend on the citizens' satisfaction with the medical and healthcare services provided within the hospital.

▪ Al-Sudani highlighted the government's commitment to completing all stalled and delayed projects in Baghdad and the provinces, having managed to complete more than 50% of the stalled projects.

▪ He explained that healthcare services cannot be delayed and must be available to citizens in their own country instead of them traveling abroad.

▪ The government is progressing towards completing the infrastructure for the health sector and improving healthcare services through the operation and management of hospitals in collaboration with the private sector, relying on specialized global institutions.

▪ He stated that the success of the shared administration and operation experience lies with the Ministry of Health and the health directorates in the provinces.
