The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Iraq's solidarity with Azerbaijan, following the plane crash incident.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the friendly Republic of Azerbaijan, its government, and people, following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane during its flight from the capital Baku to the city of Grozny, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.

They added: "In this unfortunate and painful incident, we affirm that the Republic of Iraq stands alongside Azerbaijan in this difficult time, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured and expressing our solidarity with the families of the victims during this painful ordeal.
