Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting today, Monday, with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), attended by the Minister of Transport and the Prime Minister's advisors.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress made in the project to develop Baghdad International Airport, particularly regarding rehabilitation operations, and reviewed the standards set by the IFC for selecting one of the advanced global companies to rehabilitate the airport.

The meeting also involved discussing and following up on the measures taken by the relevant authorities to overcome obstacles and proceed with the project according to the adopted principles.

The Prime Minister reiterated his previous commitments to adopting global standards and specifications in the airport's development operations, which provide advantages that enhance the services offered to citizens and address the challenges facing the work to complete it within the prepared timelines and the adopted standards.
