Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament, MP Ahmed Al-Jubouri, confirmed today, Saturday, that Baghdad will host the Arab Parliament session in April 2025.
Al-Jubouri stated, according to the official agency, that "the capital, Baghdad, will host the Arab Parliament session next April 2025, which will precede the Arab Summit in the capital, Baghdad," noting that "hosting the session and the Arab Summit enhances Iraq's pivotal role in Arab and international issues.
He pointed out that "Iraq, with its government, parliament, and people, supports all Arab issues," explaining that "regarding the Palestinian issue, Iraq's proposal to establish a fund for the reconstruction of Gaza was supported.
Regarding the Syrian issue, Al-Jubouri explained that "the Arab Parliament affirmed the respect for the Syrian people's will in determining their destiny through a political process under the supervision of Arab countries, the Arab League, and the Arab Parliament.
He added that "the international silence regarding Zionist crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria was categorically rejected," noting that "the Arab Parliament supports the decisions of the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for the criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, for committing crimes against humanity."
