Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Thursday, the injured orphan child (Abdul Salam), a 9-year-old victim of terrorism, accompanied by Mr. Munhil Ahmed Akla, who is caring for him. Mr. Akla, a member of the Iraqi army, rescued Abdul Salam during the battles to liberate Mosul and saved several other children.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani followed up on the child's health condition, who suffered two serious injuries during the battles and lost his parents. Abdul Salam had previously undergone surgeries under the prime minister's patronage and with the support of international humanitarian organizations. The Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to facilitate the completion of his treatment abroad and arranged for travel to Spain for further surgeries.
He also instructed the Iraqi embassy in Madrid to provide all necessary assistance and allocated funds to cover travel and accommodation expenses during the treatment.
