The head of the Progress Party, Mohammed Al-Halbousi, concluded his visit to the United States by visiting the Chaldean Community Foundation in Michigan and meeting its president, Martin Manna.

During the meeting, Al-Halbousi was briefed on the conditions of the Iraqi community there and discussed the situation of the Christian component in Iraq, affirming that they are an integral part of the Iraqi people. He emphasized that ensuring their rights and active participation in state institutions is a fundamental pillar of the state of freedom and citizenship that we aspire to and advocate for. The discussion also covered the main service needs in Christian cities and villages.

In Washington, Al-Halbousi held a series of meetings with several American officials, during which he discussed ways to enhance the strategic partnership between Iraq and the United States, focusing on areas such as energy and gas investment, as well as regional situations and developments.
