President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he is appointing Alina Habba, one of his legal team members in the hush money" case in New York, as a presidential advisor.

Habba, who is of Iraqi descent and 40 years old, defended Trump earlier this year and served as his legal spokesperson.

Habba has been spending time with the president-elect since the elections at his club in Florida, "Mar-a-Lago.

Trump said in a post on his social network, "Truth Social": "She has been unwavering in her loyalty and unmatched in her resolve. She stood by my side through many trials and battles and countless days in court.
