The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, received the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Stephen Hitchen, today, Sunday.

During the meeting, the relations between the two countries were discussed, along with ways to develop them in various fields, enhancing mutual cooperation and benefiting both Iraq and Britain.

The meeting witnessed a review of the developments in the region, where the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of action by Britain, major countries, and international organizations to put an end to the war targeting Gaza and Lebanon and the necessity of stopping the brutal crimes committed by the occupation forces, which have resulted in thousands of victims, in addition to the danger that the continuation of the war poses to the security and stability of the region and the world.
