The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, received today, Sunday, the new Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq, Mr. Jan Schneider

His Excellency congratulated the ambassador on assuming his duties in Iraq, and the discussion also covered the bilateral relations between the Czech Republic in particular and the European Union in general and ways to develop and enhance them in various fields in a manner that achieves mutual interests.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of European Union countries exerting pressure to stop the war in Gaza and Lebanon and the necessity of delivering urgent relief and humanitarian aid to mitigate the serious repercussions caused by the war on the region and the world.
