Mr. Ryan Al-Kaldani, head of the Babylon parliamentary bloc, received Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the new Speaker of the House of Representatives, at his office in Baghdad. Al-Kaldani congratulated Al-Mashhadani on assuming the position of Speaker of Parliament, expressing his hope that his leadership would align with the aspirations of the Iraqi people, who are waiting for laws that serve their interests and fulfill their expectations.

Al-Kaldani emphasized the necessity for the Parliament to fulfill its legal and constitutional obligations, calling for the remaining time in the legislative session to be invested in intensifying efforts to enact laws that address the people's interests and concerns. He also emphasized the importance of amending the Municipalities Law and facilitating the voting on the Amnesty Law, stressing that this law should not include the corrupt or those whose hands are stained with the blood of Iraqis.

For his part, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani praised the positions of Al-Kaldani and the Babylon Movement, pointing to their prominent role in bridging the viewpoints between political blocs and supporting legislation that aligns with the aspirations of the Iraqi people. Al-Mashhadani also affirmed that Al-Kaldani has a positive role in improving the service and reconstruction situation in Nineveh Governorate.

A number of deputies from the Babylon Bloc attended the meeting, in addition to the Minister of Migration and Displacement, where ways to enhance cooperation and parliamentary work for the benefit of the homeland and the Iraqi people were discussed.
