The Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, chaired a meeting today, Wednesday, with a delegation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to follow up on the steps to lift the ban on Iraqi Airways. The meeting included the Deputy Head of the Association, Mr. Kamel Al-Awadhi, the Director of the Middle East and Gulf Region, Mr. Mohammed Abash, and the Assistant Director of Safety and Operations for the Middle East and Africa, Mr. Jerold Tomulka.
His Excellency listened to an explanation that includes the mechanism for lifting the ban imposed on Iraqi Airways in Europe and the stages of completing the plan within the specified timelines, ensuring the swift completion of this important file.
The Prime Minister issued a set of directives to overcome challenges and obstacles and to adopt an administrative organizational structure in order to meet the requirements of international standards for airline operations.
