Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani discussed with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, unifying positions regarding the serious developments in the region.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement that "Sudani met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Vahdettin Palace in Istanbul, Turkey.
He added that "the two sides held discussions that included reviewing the latest developments in the region, the increasing threat to peace and stability posed by the Zionist entity, its ongoing aggression against Gaza and Lebanon, and the attacks that have targeted several countries in the region.
He explained that "Sudani and President Erdogan discussed unifying positions regarding these serious developments and the challenges they represent, urging Arab and Islamic countries, as well as international and UN organizations, to support efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire, facilitating relief operations, delivering aid to those affected by the aggression, launching reconstruction efforts, and protecting the Palestinian presence on their historical land.
He pointed out that "the meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to activate the memorandums of understanding and joint agreements in various economic and developmental fields.
