The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met today, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the headquarters of the House of Representatives in Baghdad, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Mahmoud al-Mashhadani.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President congratulated Dr. Al-Mashhadani on his election as Speaker of the House of Representatives, wishing him success and prosperity in fulfilling his duties. The President emphasized the importance of enhancing communication and coordination mechanisms between the Presidency and the House of Representatives and working on presenting laws and legislation that serve the interests of citizens, particularly in the security, political, and economic aspects.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud al-Mashhadani expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the congratulations and wishes of the President of the Republic. He also affirmed the Parliament's Presidency's commitment to moving forward in completing its tasks in a manner that serves the higher interests of Iraq and its people.
