The Iraqi national football team roster witnessed a series of surprising exclusions and inclusions different from the matches against Korea and Palestine. Currently, they have not been called up for the matches against Jordan and Oman. The most notable exclusions are: Lukas Slemon, Saad Natiq, Luay Al-Ani, Safaa Hadi, Hassan Raed, and Osama Shid.
While the players who were not present in the matches against Korea and Palestine and have now been called up for the matches against Jordan and Oman are Frans Batros, Zidane Iqbal, Danilo Al-Saeed, Muntathar Al-Majed, Saad Abdul Amir, and Ali Al-Hamadi.
The national team coach, Jesus Casas, announced the list of players called up for the matches against Jordan and Oman in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup.
