Spanish authorities reported today, Wednesday, that 63 people were killed after severe floods swept away cars, turned village streets into rivers, and disrupted railway lines and highways.
The continuous storms that began since yesterday, Tuesday, have caused floods in large areas of southern and eastern Spain, specifically in the eastern region of Valencia, where the waters have submerged hundreds of homes. Rescue teams are continuing to assist many residents affected by the widespread flooding.
