The American political scientist and international relations expert John Mearsheimer confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is outsmarting the West as he bypasses sanctions and wins battles in Ukraine. During an interview on the "Judging Freedom" YouTube channel, Mearsheimer said: "Everything happening indicates that Putin is the winner; he is overcoming sanctions and winning on the battlefield, and he is not isolated

 
Mearsheimer explained that the United States' attempt to isolate Putin internationally and turn him into a pariah has largely failed, citing the BRICS summit, which saw notable international attendance. He confirmed that BRICS has become a strong institution and will gain more influence over time, which is bad news for the United States but good for Putin.
For his part, the Russian president confirmed during his speech at the "BRICS" summit that the campaign launched by the West to isolate Russia after the start of the military operation has failed. The sixteenth BRICS summit was held in the Russian city of Kazan from October 22 to 24 of this month.
BRICS was founded in 2006 by Russia, India, China, Brazil, and South Africa, and later joined by Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Russia is chairing the organization this year, organizing more than 200 political, economic, and social events under the slogan "Multilateralism for Justice, Development, and Security in the World.
