The Israeli army announced on Friday the death of five of its soldiers in battles against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, following the late Thursday revelation of the death of five others in battles on the Lebanese front as well.
The Times of Israel reported that Friday's statement mentioned the killing of five army personnel by an anti-tank missile in southern Lebanon while the soldiers were receiving logistical supplies.
The statement also revealed that 19 others were injured, including 4 soldiers in critical condition.
The army indicated in a statement on Thursday that 4 reserve soldiers were killed, and 6 others were injured during clashes with Hezbollah elements on Wednesday evening in southern Lebanon.
The army added that another soldier was killed during the Israeli forces' ground incursion into southern Lebanon on Thursday.
The number of Israeli soldiers killed during the battles in southern Lebanon since the start of the ground operation in September has risen to 32, according to a tally prepared by the French Press Agency based on official military data.
The National News Agency of Lebanon reported on Friday that 3 journalists were killed in Israeli airstrikes on their "residence in Hasbaya," located about 50 kilometers south of Beirut.
The Minister of Information in the Lebanese caretaker government, Ziad Makari, commented on the raid by saying, "It is an assassination after surveillance and tracking, as there were 18 journalists representing 7 media institutions at the location," describing what happened as a "war crime.
He clarified that the deceased are "Ghassan Najjar, Mohammad Reda, and Wissam Qassem," explaining that they work for the Al-Mayadeen and Al-Manar channels.
