The Secretary-General of the Babylon Movement, Mr. Rayan al-Kaldani, met with the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Mr. Pavel Talabani, in the city of Sulaymaniyah, in the presence of the head of the Babylon List in Duhok, Mr. William Benjamin. This meeting came within the framework of discussing important issues related to the public good, especially the electoral entitlement in the region.

 
Al-Kaldani emphasized the importance of transparency in the democratic process, away from pressures and individual practices that seek to usurp the rights of others. He emphasized the necessity of bringing about a change that fulfills the hopes of the citizens in the region and meets their demands away from the dominance of a single party.

 
In a move considered the first of its kind, the Chaldean announced that Christians will step out of the ruling party's framework, expressing their opinions freely. He affirmed that the era of enslavement has passed, as citizens will be able to express their opinions clearly without fear of being used as human shields before the international community.
