The World Boxing Organization (WBO) has decided to permanently ban Algerian boxer Iman Khalif and strip her of all the titles and championships she has earned over the years.
This decision follows new reports indicating that her testosterone levels are significantly elevated.
The organization stated that the ban also includes the confiscation of her prize money entirely, with new details regarding her case to be announced in the coming weeks.
It is worth noting that the Algerian athlete was disqualified from the 2023 Women’s World Cup after undergoing sexual chromosome testing, which deemed her ineligible.
Iman Khalif had previously won the gold medal in women's boxing at the "Paris 2024" Summer Olympics held last August.
