A senior Iranian source reported on Thursday that Tehran, through Qatari mediation, sent a message to Washington addressing developments in the regional situation following the missile attack carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Israel.
According to Al Jazeera, the source stated that Iran's message confirmed that the phase of unilateral restraint had ended, emphasizing that this approach no longer meets its national security requirements.
The Iranian message included a warning that any Israeli attack would face an unconventional response targeting infrastructure. It also stressed the need to curb the actions of the "Zionist entity" and to halt what it described as its madness.
This follows the announcement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Tuesday of the execution of "Operation Promised Truth 2," which targeted Israel with over 200 ballistic missiles.
