The spokesperson for the Commander‑in‑Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al‑Nu'man, confirmed on Thursday that the government has begun filing a complaint against those responsible for bombing the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and other security forces.

Al‑Nu'man said in a statement: “We strongly condemned the treacherous and cowardly attack that targeted the PMF headquarters, which is an official government security institution carrying out its duties in maintaining security and protecting Iraq.” He added that “the attack was unjustified, and we have initiated legal procedures against those responsible for the loss of the lives of PMF heroes and other security forces.”

He continued, noting that “the Commander‑in‑Chief has formed a committee to visit the families of the martyrs and check on the wounded, and he is closely following their conditions.” He pointed out that “the Prime Minister has directed that full support and medical care be provided to ensure the wounded recover completely.”

He affirmed that “Iraq has begun legal procedures to file a complaint against those responsible for bombing the PMF and other security headquarters.”
