The world is watching for the expiration of the deadline the U.S. president set for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as he demands that Iran abandon its nuclear program and reopen the strait.

In this context, Fox News reported that the strikes targeting Iran’s Kharg Island were carried out solely by the United States, without Israeli participation.

The network quoted a U.S. military official saying that “the targets struck included military bunkers, a radar station, and an ammunition depot on the island.”

According to the official, any attacks targeting Iranian railways are not carried out by U.S. forces.

Meanwhile, the Axios website, citing another U.S. official, reported that the U.S. military launched airstrikes on military targets on Kharg Island.

This comes as media reports speak of the United States and Israel beginning to target infrastructure inside Iran, coinciding with Iranian announcements of entering a “new phase” of the conflict.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) also published photos of fighter jets taking off from the USS Lincoln, confirming the continued execution of airstrikes inside Iran.
