Reuters: A Two‑Phase Plan Between Iran and the U.S. for an Immediate Ceasefire and Reopening of Hormuz and Leading to a Final Agreement Within 20 Days… Tehran Rejects Linking It to a Temporary Truce.

Reuters reported that the proposed plan between Iran and the United States includes an immediate ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, with a final agreement to be reached within a period of 15 to 20 days.

It added that the final agreement would include Iran abandoning nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting the sanctions imposed on it.

In contrast, the agency quoted an Iranian official affirming that Tehran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz in return for what he described as a “temporary ceasefire.”
