Iraqi Red Crescent: Establishing Centers to Receive Lebanese Families at the Al-Qaim Border Crossing

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society began on Thursday setting up centers to receive Lebanese families at the Al-Qaim border crossing with Syria.

The organization stated in a statement received by "Al-Awla" that "these centers are equipped with mobile hospitals and medical clinics, as well as providing logistics-equipped rest areas for families."

Earlier today, the Iraqi Red Crescent announced that it had sent the second batch of medicines and medical supplies to the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The statement indicated that "the second batch of medicines and medical supplies, weighing approximately 15 tons, was loaded according to the needs list sent by the Lebanese Ministry of Health."

It added that "this batch includes more than 40 medical items, including required medications for treating injuries and those used in operating rooms."

On Saturday, September 21, medical and relief assistance from the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi Red Crescent arrived at Beirut International Airport to meet the needs of Lebanese hospitals following the recent bombings of pager devices and ongoing Israeli shelling in the southern suburbs, which resulted in several casualties and thousands of injured.
