Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that "the October 7 attack is the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and it wouldn’t have happened if I were president." He pointed out that "Jewish citizens in America have had to endure the worst wave of anti-Semitism in generations."
He emphasized that "American Jews are being harassed, attacked, and subjected to terrorism by anti-Semites and those sympathetic to Hamas," considering that "Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has done nothing to combat anti-Semitism and that universities have become dangerous places for Jewish students."
He noted that "the ugly tide of anti-Semitism, fanaticism, and hatred from Hamas will be repelled and crushed when I take office," affirming that "if I am elected president, I will prohibit the resettlement of refugees coming from terrorism-ridden areas like the Gaza Strip."
