Lebanese media have reported that over 1,000 people were injured due to explosions from pager devices they were carrying.
According to Lebanese media reports, Israel used advanced technology to detonate wireless communication devices carried by members of Hezbollah in the most affected areas of the country.
The pagers exploded in the hands of their carriers in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, and the south (Nabatieh, Al-Hosh, and Bint Jbeil).
Immediately, the Lebanese Ministry of Health requested that all citizens who own pagers dispose of them immediately.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health emphasized raising the alert level to the highest degree and increasing preparedness across all hospitals in the country.
The National News Agency of Lebanon confirmed that hospitals in the south, the southern suburbs of Beirut, and the Bekaa Valley issued calls for citizens to donate blood of all types following the reception of numerous patients injured by the pager explosions due to what was described as a "high-tech" Israeli infiltration.
