On Saturday, Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani mentioned that the current federal government he leads has faced attempts to "disturb and obstruct" its work. However, he assured that the government will continue to carry out its duties despite these challenges.
This statement was made during a speech at an event celebrating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday at the Umm al-Qura Mosque in Baghdad.
In his speech, he said, "In this government, we have believed in our executive work based on the principle of citizenship and prioritizing the public interest in leading the state's affairs. We have developed a governmental program that addresses the real concerns of the citizens and has set a clear path for construction and reform across all state sectors."
He added, "We have managed to achieve clear success rates, which are evident in all sectors, despite attempts to disturb and obstruct the government's efforts. We will not be distracted by these attempts and reaffirm our commitment to move forward with strength and determination."
