Reuters: Two tankers were fired upon by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard after attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz, one of them a supertanker carrying Iraqi oil.

Maritime sources told Reuters that at least two vessels tried to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and reported coming under fire during the attempt.

The “TankerTrackers” website reported, citing real-time data, that the IRGC Navy forced the two ships—including a giant oil tanker flying the Indian flag and carrying about two million barrels of Iraqi oil—to turn back and remain outside the strait.
