Iranian state television reported that the Leadership Council has discussed holding a meeting of the Assembly of Experts to choose a new Supreme Leader, without specifying the timing or the method of voting. Members of the council include President Masoud Pezeshkian, Judiciary Chief Gholam‑Hossein Mohseni‑Ejei, and Ayatollah Alireza Arafi.
On another note, buildings belonging to the council were damaged during the airstrikes that began on February 28.
