U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will extend the deadline for launching strikes on Iranian power stations by ten days, pushing it to April 6, at the request of the Iranian government.
Trump said in a post on the Truth Social platform that “at the request of the Iranian government, I am extending the deadline for destroying the power station by 10 days, until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.”
He added that “talks are ongoing, and despite the false statements being spread by the fake news media and others, they are going very well.”
