Axios: Trump may order strikes on Iran if informed that negotiations have failed.

The Axios website reported that U.S. President Donald Trump may give orders to strike Iran if his advisers inform him that the negotiations have not succeeded. A U.S. official also stated that the nuclear talks between the two countries were positive, without providing further details. Meanwhile, the Omani foreign minister announced the conclusion of the negotiation round in Geneva after notable progress, with technical discussions set to continue in Vienna.

The website quoted a senior U.S. official saying that the nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran had been positive, without revealing additional details about the nature of the progress made or the outstanding issues between the two sides.

Earlier today, Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al‑Busaidi announced the end of the third round of nuclear negotiations in Geneva after significant progress was achieved between the United States and Iran.

Al‑Busaidi said that technical discussions will be held next week between the two countries in Vienna after consultations between the delegations in their respective capitals.

Both the Omani foreign minister and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, participated in the third round of negotiations hosted by the Swiss city of Geneva.
