Iran Prepares New Proposal Package for Geneva Negotiations.

The spokesperson for Iran’s National Security Committee, Ebrahim Rezaei, announced that the Iranian negotiating team has prepared a package of proposals for the upcoming round of Geneva talks, aimed at accelerating discussions. He denied that there were any negotiations regarding uranium enrichment or the removal of nuclear stockpiles from Iran, adding that the talks are limited strictly to the nuclear file. Rezaei noted that optimism about the outcome remains limited due to the United States’ previous behavior.

At the same time, he expressed pessimism about the results, citing what he described as the American side’s past record and conduct.

In an interview with Iran’s Fars News Agency, Rezaei clarified that the upcoming round will not include any discussion about halting or abandoning uranium enrichment, stressing that removing Iran’s nuclear stockpiles from the country is not on the table.

He added that the United States had previously agreed to these principles during earlier rounds of negotiations.

Rezaei emphasized that the Geneva talks are confined to the nuclear issue and do not cover missile or regional matters.

He considered Israel to be the central issue in the region, calling for its “threats” to be discussed in separate frameworks with the participation of regional countries, in a way that ensures development, peace, and shared interests.

He also noted that Tehran is ready to address concerns related to its nuclear program within the framework of the Geneva negotiations, pointing out that the proposed package was prepared to help facilitate an understanding. However, he reiterated that optimism remains limited given past experiences with Washington.
