Netanyahu is calling for restrictions on Iran’s ballistic missiles and an end to its support for regional proxies. Meanwhile, indirect talks between the United States and Iran have continued in Oman, marking the first such contact since the joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran.
Netanyahu’s office stated that the prime minister believes “any negotiations should include limiting ballistic missiles and halting support for Iran’s proxies.”
A round of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran took place in Oman on Friday—the first since the American‑Israeli strikes on Iran last June.
The United States wants Iran to stop enriching uranium, curb its ballistic missile program, and end its support for regional proxies. Iran, according to The Wall Street Journal, has said it is willing to discuss only its nuclear activities.
Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated, with President Trump issuing repeated warnings about the possibility of military action.
