The National Security Committee in the Iranian Parliament affirmed that Iran “has not and will not retreat from its red lines,” describing U.S. President Donald Trump as a “liar.” Trump had characterized the talks with Iran as “positive” and said they would continue early next week. The current round of indirect negotiations in Muscat has concluded, while Washington imposed new sanctions on individuals and companies linked to Iran.
Committee spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei said on his account on the platform X that “it is the Americans who have found no options left after the failure of their other choices—military, economic, terrorist, and others—and they have no choice but to accept the frameworks and rights of the Iranian people.”
