UAE Announces End of Military Presence in Yemen Amid Saudi Troop Deployment.

The UAE Ministry of Defense has announced the termination of what it described as its remaining "counterterrorism units" in Yemen. This decision follows the dispatch of two military shipments to Yemen, which were reportedly targeted by Saudi forces within the Arab Coalition.

In its statement, the ministry clarified that the UAE's official military presence in Yemen had ended in 2019 after completing its agreed-upon missions under the Arab Coalition framework. Since then, its presence has been limited to specialized counterterrorism teams.

Sources also reported the entry of a large Saudi force through the Al-Wadiah border crossing into Yemen’s Hadramout province. The deployment is intended to support the Nation Shield Forces stationed in the Al-Abr area, located between Shabwah and Marib, amid escalating military and security arrangements on the ground.
