Witkoff: Ukraine Negotiations Were Productive and Constructive.

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated on the platform X that the talks held over the past three days in Florida between American, European, and Ukrainian officials—aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine—were productive and constructive.

Witkoff added, “Over the past three days, the Ukrainian delegation in Florida held a series of fruitful and constructive meetings with American and European partners.”

He continued, “A separate, constructive U.S.-Ukrainian meeting was also held. Special attention was given to discussing timelines and sequencing the next steps regarding the peace plan for Ukraine.”

He emphasized that “peace in Ukraine must not merely be a cessation of hostilities, but a foundation for a stable future.”

He concluded, “Our shared priority is to stop the killing, ensure guaranteed security, and create the conditions for Ukraine’s recovery, stability, and long-term prosperity.”

Last month, Washington presented a 28-point plan to end the war, but Ukrainians and their European allies initially viewed the first version as overly favorable to Moscow. It was later revised following consultations with Kyiv and the European Union.

Moscow confirmed that its envoy is currently in the United States to receive the revised plan and deliver it to the Kremlin, while denying that any preparations are underway for trilateral negotiations.
