Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian and American delegations will soon meet to work on a formula discussed during talks in Geneva, aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine and securing security guarantees for Kyiv.
In his nightly video address, he said,
"Our team will meet with American representatives at the end of this week to continue aligning the points we reached as a result of the Geneva talks in a format that leads us toward peace and security guarantees."
He added:
"There will be a meeting between the two delegations. The Ukrainian delegation will be well-prepared and focused on purposeful work. We are currently in contact with the American side and our European friends."
Zelensky also mentioned that further talks involving both delegations will take place next week, and he himself will attend, though he did not provide further details.
He concluded:
"Important talks will be held next week—not only with our delegation but also with me personally. We are laying a solid foundation for such discussions. Ukraine will stand firmly on its feet. It will always remain resilient."
