International Observer: Iraqi Voters Cast Their Ballots Freely with Strong Female Participation.

International observer Shahin Saleh confirmed on Tuesday that Iraqi voters are casting their ballots freely, noting that women’s participation is significant.

Saleh stated that “the international monitoring mission from Finland consists of 150 international observers deployed across all Iraqi provinces.”

She added that “the special voting process was conducted smoothly and democratically, and Iraqi voters were able to cast their votes in complete freedom.” She also noted that “the general voting day is witnessing a large and free democratic participation of women.”

Saleh explained that “no electoral process in the world can ever be 100% perfect, not even in advanced Western countries. Through our monitoring and visits to polling centers, we observed strong and active participation from local observers and political entity monitors of all affiliations, as well as a robust presence from media institutions throughout Iraq.”

She concluded that “the mission’s reports will be submitted to the relevant authorities and government bodies in Iraq after the completion of the electoral process.”
