U.S.: Widespread Protests Against Trump Administration Under the Banner No Kings in America.

Major U.S. cities witnessed large-scale demonstrations on Saturday against the policies of President Donald Trump’s administration, held under the slogan “No Kings in America.”

Thousands gathered in New York, Washington, Chicago, and other major cities, with solidarity protests also taking place in Europe. Organizers condemned what they described as Trump’s “attacks” on First Amendment rights and accused him of authoritarian tendencies.

They announced that over 2,500 protest events were scheduled across the United States, expecting millions to participate. On the eve of the protests, the National Guard was placed on alert in several states, while organizers pledged that the demonstrations would remain peaceful.

In New York’s Times Square, thousands held signs denouncing Trump’s immigration policies and the actions of law enforcement agencies, which have detained many suspected undocumented immigrants. In Washington, D.C., protesters gathered outside the Department of Labor, including former government employees dismissed under Trump’s policies.

U.S. media reported that President Trump would not appear before the press on Saturday, with no official events on his schedule, as he traveled to his residence in Florida to play golf.

The “No Kings” protests are considered the largest wave of demonstrations against Trump’s administration since last June, when rallies were held in California and other states opposing his immigration policies.
