Dr. Rami Joseph Aghajan, President of the Endowments Office for Christians, Yazidis, and Sabean Mandaeans, met today in Erbil with His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, they discussed the nature of the office’s work and its close relationship with the religious communities it represents, as well as its role in preserving Iraq’s rich religious and cultural diversity, which forms an integral part of the country’s social fabric.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing efforts to support and care for these communities and to ensure their religious and cultural rights, thereby promoting values of coexistence and social peace.
For his part, His Excellency President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his full support for Dr. Rami Joseph Aghajan in his role, wishing him success in carrying out his duties.
The accompanying delegation included Mr. Dasn Suleiman Safo, Deputy for Religious and Cultural Affairs, and Mr. Raafat Jasib Mahawi, Director General of Sabean Mandaean Affairs.
