As negotiations continue between Iran and the European troika (France, Germany, and the United Kingdom) to reach a resolution on the nuclear file, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdelrahim Mousavi, emphasized that his country will not compromise on its national interests.
He warned, “If the enemy makes new mistakes, it will receive a harsh response that will make it regret,” according to Tasnim News Agency on Monday.
He added that the armed forces are “prepared, relying on strategic surprises, to confront any threat imposed by the oppressors of the world with an immediate, decisive, and deterrent response beyond imagination.”
These statements came after Israeli sources revealed that the Mossad intelligence agency deployed around 100 foreign agents inside Iran ahead of the 12-day war that erupted last June. The operation was described as unprecedented in scale and complexity.
The agents’ mission reportedly included targeting Iranian ballistic missile platforms and air defense systems, as well as providing direct support for Israeli airstrikes⁽¹⁾.
