Former U.S. President Donald Trump held a notable meeting at the White House regarding the situation in Gaza, which drew attention due to the participation of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Trump’s former Middle East envoy, his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The meeting, which also included U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, was dedicated to shaping the Trump administration’s policy toward Gaza.
This policy includes increasing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, securing the release of Israeli hostages, and preparing for what Americans refer to as the “day after” the war ends.
Witkoff revealed prior to the meeting that the U.S. plan is comprehensive and aims to end the war before the end of the current year. This topic was also discussed separately by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar.
