Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted at a possible agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump concerning the Gaza Strip, suggesting it might be announced in the coming days.
In an interview with the conservative American channel "Newsmax," Netanyahu said:
"What was agreed upon between me and President Trump will be revealed at the appropriate time."
He expressed hope to "reach a deal within days," noting, "We still have around 50 hostages, 20 of whom we know are alive, and about 30 are believed to be dead."
He added:
"There is now an agreement stipulating that Hamas will initially release 10 hostages and hand over approximately half of the bodies."
Netanyahu emphasized his commitment to retrieving all remaining captives—both living and deceased.
A new round of indirect negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement with Hamas began in Doha last Sunday.
The Israeli Prime Minister visited Washington last week, reiterating his optimism about reaching a near-term agreement for a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal.
